25% of the homes at Alameda Point will be designated for low-income people. We need jobs at a range of salaries so both low-income and high-income workers need not leave the island to get to their workplace.

Many low-income people can't accept better paying jobs if public transit doesn't take them there. More jobs on Alameda Point could reduce low-income residents' reliance on public transit and enable them to accept better paying jobs.
